Launched in February 2021 as pandemic restrictions were easing, the Culinary Weekend series began in 2021 as the brainchild of longtime patron Maja Olivares-Co and other fellow “Aman Junkies”.
The first two of the series showcased was a collaboration between the Italian Amanpulo Executive Chef Michele Bellotto and decorated Filipina Chef Margarita Fores featuring a 5 Course Italian – Filipino fusion meal. The third and fourth iteration held last October 2022 and this March 2023 was about the Ocean and Salu Salu (getting together to eat) was under the new Amanpulo Executive Chef Stefan Goehcke. He wed Filipino and Maldivian Cuisine in a union based by the commitment to freshness and seasonality characteristic of New Nordic techniques. The fifth of the series is targeted for November 2023.
